Hinamatsuri is a festival when we display hina dolls and pray for young girls' growth and happiness. The custom began during the Heian period and the dolls were dressed in gorgeous ancient court attire. Usually the dolls are placed on seven steps, hinadan, with the emperor and empress at the top, followed by three ladies of the court and five court musicians lower down. A doll can take a girl's bad fortune, so the custom displaying hina dolls still exists.
Therefore they also believe that you had better not use your ancestors' hina dolls to pray for a girl's happiness.
The origin of the Japanese Boy's Festival in Japan can be traced back to the Chinese tradition of exorcism. In Japan, people celebrated the healthy growth of boys on the 5th of May, when a Shogun had a new born boy in Edo period. In China, carp symbolize success in life. Therefore, Japanese people drew a picture of a carp on a flag and hung it outside the house to wish the boys a successful life.We also display Japanese armour, helmets or Musha ningyo (Warrior dolls) in the house, wishing for the boys to grow to be strong and wise.
In Children's Day(May 5th), Japanese raise the carp streamers called "Koi-nobori". This day was originally celebrated in order to wish the healthy growth of the boys in the family.
"Koi-nobori" is a set of streamers in the shape of carps in different colors and sizes.
These carps are a symbols of a family.
Parents display "Koi-nobori" hoping that their children will grow up healthy and strong.
When children greet the new year’s day for the first time, Japanese people display Battledore for girl and Hamayumi for boy. for their. Each of display has different meaning. We display Battledore for healthy life and Hamayumi to ward off evil spirits.

A display of giant fireworks exploding in the night sky, one of the highlights of the Japanese summer.
More than 5,000 firework displays are held throughout Japan every year.
Each starburst lasts just 5 or 10 seconds. But these fleeting moments of beautiful pyrotechnics never fail to captivate the watching crowds.
Letting off small fireworks with your family and friends is also a symbol of summer in Japan as the big pyrotechnic displays.
You can buy genuine small fireworks at shops Osaka Ningyou Wholesaler Union manages.

We celebrate this event with Christmas trees, wreathes, red boots, Santa Claus costume, etc just like American people do. Families with children prepare and place presents for their kids on the night of Dec. 24 at their bedside or by the Christmas tree. Christmas trees, red boots, decorative illumination are must be needed. You might be able to prepare for Christmas perfectly if you are with us.
“Yuino” is a Japanese custom where the groom’s family gives gifts to the bride’s family to officially confirm their engagement, and the union of the two families through marriage is celebrated with a ceremonial feast.
The origin of “yuino” goes all the way back to the 4th century. The traditional gifts include “obi” (kimono sash) and kimono fabric along with auspicious items such as a Japanese folding fan, dried bonito, dried kelp, and dried squid. The “yuino” gifts are placed on plain wood trays as they symbolize purity and the couple’s strong desire that they will only be used once.
